A New England beach at sunset
Sally on the beach at sunset

a glimpse into my life as a twenty-something east coast girl

i grew up on the north shore of massachusetts and never moved too far from home. then i caught the travel bug, sold all my belongings, and moved down to charleston, south carolina for the winter. i realized new england is my home and moved back a few months ago. nothing can keep me away from this place, and there's a reason for that 馃馃徏

i'm 27 and somewhere in the thick of a very self proclaimed quarter life crisis. i've spent this year learning who i actually am, and the surprising part is where it landed me. not somewhere new and shiny, but back at my roots, finding magic in stability and in the world right around me. and what a place to come back to. i have a community here that gave me the space to figure it out, and this website is one of the things i finally stopped shutting down.

i've always had two pulls i can't shake. one is to create and express myself. the other is to make something a little better for someone else. for a long time i thought i had to pick one, and pick a single lane while i was at it. writing or filming. the spreadsheet or the beach. getting dressed well or doing serious work. now i think the whole point is that i never had to choose. this is the table where all of it finally gets to sit down together.

so, fair warning: i'm not a guru, and i don't have a five step method for your life. i'm a peer, writing it down as i go, sharing the parts that are actually true instead of only the ones that photograph well.

here's where it all lives. the newsletter is over on substack, the day-to-day is on tiktok and instagram, and the map holds every place i've ever loved. the travel guides might be my favorite thing i make.

the rest of me, in no particular order: northeastern, healthcare consulting by day, a childhood spent mostly on the back of a horse, farmers markets, long rides down 1a, coffee i'm definitely too snobby about, ice cream i will never once turn down, and adventures with my frenchie, louie. i care a lot about how things look and feel, and i'm so glad you're here to see it.

xxo, Sally
